LOF Stone Elegance is applied to Ex-Michelin area by Renzo Piano 2013/10

LOF’s acclaimed Marble series stone elegance is applied to a 11-acre urban expansion project by legendary Italian architect Renzo Piano. This ex-Michelin project is considered to be among north italy’s most important development. With total more than 300,000 cubic meters space, this project adapts the most innovative eco-sustainable technologies including color solar. The total output is 300kw and completed in 2013. The so called “le albere” will consist of residential buildings, offices, sciences museum, shops, and a wide green park.

New York and Connecticut State Assembly Leaders Visit Lof Solar 2013/09

US New York and Connecticut State Assembly leaders visited Lof Solar on September 10th. The visiting group was led by Mr. Ernest Hewett, Deputy Speaker of Connecticut State Assembly. Their six-day travel to Taiwan has agenda covering solar industry and green energy policy among others. 

 

The meeting attendee include: Housing Committee Chair Mr. Larry Butler; Deputy Majority Whip Mr. Bruce Morris; Assistant Majority Leader Mr. Charlie Stallworth from Connecticut State Assembly; Chair of Task Force on Demographic Research and Reapportionment Mr. Philip Ramos and Mrs. Angela M. Lopez, from New York State Assembly.
 

As a benchmark enterprise of Hsinchu Science Park, LOF welcome the overseas guests with great hospitality. Meanwhile the history, mission, milestones, and global accomplishment of Lof were discussed. When the group learned that Lof, a Taiwan-based company, is named after late Professor Loferski ,from US, it instantly brought two sides closer. Mr. Hewett praised Lof’s ambition to make the world greener, merrier, and prettier via BIPV. They were impressive with Lof’s product and achievement worldwide. The leaders also exchanged their viewpoints on industry current issues and policy outlook.

Lof Solar Wins 2013 Taiwan Excellence Awards 2013/04

Lof Solar wins the 2013 “Taiwan Excellence Awards”. Lof Solar Chairman Chien (2nd from the left) received the award from the Ministry of Economic Affairs on April 2. The award ceremony took place in Taipei International Convention Center with almost a thousand attendee.
 

Among 1221 participants, Lof Solar stands out from the fierce competition with “high efficiency color solar cell”. The evaluation criteria are innovative research and development, design, quality, marketing, and MIT (Made in Taiwan). The awards recognize the excellence across those areas, and acknowledge the products speaking for Taiwan on a global basis.

The award is regarded as the highest honor for innovative products made in Taiwan.

The boutique gallery of Taiwan Excellence 2013 is opening March 28, in the south wing of Taipei Fine Arts Museum. The entire award-winning collection is revealed to the public for the first time. For those looking for the best of Taiwan, it is the exhibition to see. The boutique gallery of Taiwan Excellence 2013 (a.k.a. Taiwan Excellence Pavilion) is re-opening this Friday March 29. The gallery is located in the newly-renovated south wing of Taipei Fine Arts Museum. The entire award-winning collection is revealed to the general public for the first time, at the nation’s first-tier art museum.

 

Modern architect Hsueh-Yi Chien designs this permanent south wing into a sustainable museum annex. First commissioned during Taipei floral expo, the annex itself attracts tourists with its contemporary structure, natural light and expansive space. The new exhibition features latest winners of Taiwan Excellence Award, honoring the best products developed and made in Taiwan. Brands like Franz® (fine porcelain), Giant® (bike), ASUS®, HTC® and etc. are presented. The essence of winning the award is state-of-the-art technology, fine craftsmanship and creative design.
